EvoVisión is an interdisciplinary research team based at CICESE in Ensenada in the Baja California. EvoVisión is part of the Computer Science Department of the Applied Physics Division. Evovisión's research focuses on evolutionary and bioinspired approaches to solve computer vision and robotics state of the art problems, such as: 3D reconstruction, visual object recognition, scene interpretation and visual modelling. Besides a profound knowledge of mathematical geometry and physical modelling, Computer Vision and Robotics need new theories able to advance our understanding in the active vision scenario. We believe that significant advances will be made over the next few years by combining emerging bionsipired approaches and evolutionary algorithms to classical computer vision approaches.
